Join us on the Wednesday 24th February 2016 for a CSF co-hosted event with LCF’s Fashion and Faith Panel to discuss Ethics, Morality, Sustainability.
What are the moral codes that underlie the increased popularity of sustainability in fashion? CSF’s Professor Dilys Williams is joining Professor Reina Lewis to explore how concern about the social and environmental impact of fashion has gone from minority preoccupation to red carpet style trend.
With growing numbers of people defining themselves as ‘spiritual but not religious’, does ethical consumption provide a means of expressing moral values for those with and without formal religious affiliations?
To discuss the overlap between ethical and aesthetic standards, Dilys and Reina are joined by creative entrepreneur Ayesha Mustafa, founder of socially conscious fashion brand Fashion ComPassion (merging high-end design with ethical production practices by working with brands that employ marginalized communities and skilled artisans from around the world).
