Sanjana Pimoli

Connecting the youth’s aspirations with the apparel supply chain, Sanjana Pimoli works to scale disruptive innovations and sustainable business models to support the fashion industry’s sustainability agenda. Sanjana is a graduate student at the Yale School of the Environment, where she focuses on the intersection of industrial ecology, sustainability, and business transformation in the fashion industry. With a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Law and Policy, she brings a strong interdisciplinary foundation to her work.

Sanjana has over three years of experience in scaling material and processing innovations at Shahi Exports, India’s largest apparel exporter. She is among 1000 global talents in the Unleash Innovation Lab 2022 building innovative solutions for the world’s pressing sustainability issues. Selected for the Next Gen Assembly 2023, she brings storytelling and human design thinking to advance sustainable transformation globally. She envisions a fashion industry focused on just transition and equitable purchasing practices to accelerate decarbonisation and contribute to a net-zero fashion industry.
